Three recordings from a dusty reel of tape discovered in an old cardboard attic box during last year’s lockdown!
Songs from Saturday night dance evenings last heard fifty years ago when sounds from the Whyteleafe Village Hall would drift on the chill night air to be heard as far away as the fish and chip van at the corner.
Sadly, only ghosts dance away Saturday nights there now: the old red brick Victorian church hall is no more, demolished to make way for a row of faceless new flats.
